Kenji Sekiguchi was born in Tokyo in 1987. He has loved music since childhood and he began to listen to club music at the age of 14. When he encountered “Robert Miles – Children”, he was felt electrified and got deeply interested in trance music. After that he listened to many master producers of trance music such as Chicane, BT, Way Out West, etc. He then started DJing when he was 16 years old.
In 2006, he entered in the “Pure.FM DJ Competition in Japan” and won 1st prize. As a result, he started his own radio show “Soundscape Sessions on Pure.FM.” Then he developed warm and deeper relationships with foreign DJs. In Kenji’s show, he supported a lot of tracks composed by Japanese artists, that got great reviews both from in Japan and abroad.
In 2008 Kenji participated in Sevensenses recordings that is the most famous trance label in Japan. Then he entered into full-scaled business. He started the radioshow “Sevensenses Broadcast” on ETN.fm. And this summer he launced the digital section “Sevensenses Digital.” He has organized to release quality trance music from Japan.
In 2009, Kenji became independent from Sevensenses. And launched a new label named “Otographic Music.” From 2010 Otographic Music is going into high gear. So Kenji’s administrative skills is expected so much for the future.
