Nebulae Come Sweet started by Igor Kovalyov in Minsk, Belarus in 2012, when his running post-metal band Anna Coralie disbanded after unexpected death of the vocalist. The new band quickly got public attention due to memorable live performances, which are usually accompanied by the entire staging of light, stylistically matched video background and the images of the musicians. Their sounding can be described as a single melancholic canvas of heavy monolithic riffs and touching lyrical tunes. The first recorded songs appeared on split with a project Difleger (Belarus) released on June, 2013. The title song “Ophelia” was subsequently used as an official soundtrack to the movie “Граф в апельсинах”. In April, 2014 Nebulae Come Sweet announced a tour around Russia together with Challenger Deep (Belarus), and after it the band entered the studio to record their first full-length album. During the next year the trio played several shows in their hometown and performed as a supporting act for Sólstafir and Plebeian Grandstand. On June, 2016 the band released an acoustic and a piano single, which was almost immediately added into the rotation of Belarusian radio “Stalica” and became the song of the month for July, 2016. On November 17, 2016 Nebulae Come Sweet releases their debut studio album “It Is Not The Night That Covers You”. The album featured two special guests who provided vocals on the songs: Christopher Bennett of Minsk and Kristoffer Bäckström of Moloken.
Nebulae Come Sweet’s music and lyrics are mostly inspired by tremendous movies by Tarkovsky, Nietzsche’s philosophy and ethereal poetry by T.S. Eliot.
