Anton Chernikov was born in 1983 in Moscow. At a young age, he became conscious of having a different view on music, which of course, didn’t necessarily had every persons range of interests. Eventually, it lead to a need to express his own point of view on music productions. This was the start of Anton’s musical journey.
The first success was achieved with ‘Ra’, a track that was put on the ‘Atmosphera 2’ compilation and soon after released on vinyl by the Somatic Sense label. Soon, this track got picked up by German producer ATB, who included it to his compilation ‘ATB - The DJ In the Mix 3’. The second track that saw a vinyl release was ‘Orange Line’, which was supported by many big dj’s and has definitely increased Anton’s success as a producer. Luck was on Anton’s side and shortly after, his ‘Isis’ track, which also included a Cressida remix and was signed to Russian label iRecords, was chosen ‘best track’ on Above & Beyond’s radioshow.
Another range of tracks, like ‘Evil Spice’, managed to find their way to the crowds and giving Anton a chance to show the world what he’s capable of. Anton’s sound soon caught the attention of John00Flemming, owner of The Digital Blonde label who asked him to remix his new track ‘Raza Lila’ which eventually led to several other remix work for Anton. In 2008, Anton’s track ‘Your Burning Eyes’ was featured on Markus Schulz’ Amsterdam ‘08 compilation and saw a release at his Coldharbour Recordings label.
Every Anton's new production was treated as a major contribution to the development of electronic music and every track was supported by main djs of the genre. Specifically, John 00 Fleming appreciated Anton's work as much as it made him possible to work together with him and produce music for John's solo album. After that, Anton is going to release his own debut album on J00F label. As a dj, Anton likes to mix different styles, from deep electronic music to psy-progressive, depends on the venue. In Russia, Anton totally insists on promoting psy-progressive music and collaborates with other Russian artists of this style. It is being done in order to spread Russian electronic music all over the world. Now Anton uses a number of monikers for different styles like tech and deep house music, trance scene and other indie-electronic projects. Soon his working in various projects would be announced as there would be more than one upcoming albums.
