The duo started their own record label, Epidemic Records. They signed a contract with Jive Records in 2003 concerning the distribution of their first artist, Dirtbag. In 2004, they signed Tony Sunshine. Unfortunately, the venture expired without either album being released on Jive.
They also have a distribution deal through Neil Levine and Imperial Records for their artist Joe Hound. They recently signed a deal with Polo Grounds Music/J Records for their newest artist C-Ride. In 2006 Dre signed a solo artist deal with Jive Records to release his first album, "The Trunk" in which he both sings and raps. The first single was "Chevy Ridin' High" featuring fellow Miami rapper Rick Ross.
In-demand Miami production team Cool & Dre are set to work with Queen Latifah’s upcoming film Just Wright. The duo has signed on to score and serve as music supervisors for the romantic comedy, which will be released through Fox Searchlight. This summer, Cool and Dre will follow up with the Queen by executive producing her first Hip-Hop album in 10 years. Now titled The Persona, Latifah’s seventh studio LP is scheduled for a July 7 date. The Miami super producers will also be present on Lil Wayne’s Rebirth, having already produced 10 songs for the ambitious rock project. The latest single, “Hot Revolver,” is ranked #15 on Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs chart. In addition, Cool and Dre have secured work on new albums from Amerie (Break Ups and Make Ups), Lloyd, Birdman, and Justin Timberlake’s Hip-Hop/rock hybrid group Free Sol.
