Honeymoon Disease is a groovy rock'n'roll quartet formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2014. The band got quickly recognized for their intense and high energetic stage performances after the release of their first 7” single ”Fast Love”, which came out later the same year.
Shortly after the release they started to collaborate with the Swedish producer Ola Ersfjord (Imperial State Electric, Primordial, Tribulation, Dead Lord). At the same time Honeymoon Disease got signed on Napalm Records in early 2015.
During that spring an album started to take shape and alongside a tight tour schedule the band recorded 11 songs in Music A Matic Recording Studio in Gothenburg. Nicke Andersson (The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric) joined Ersfjord as co-producer and the band recorded all the lyrics in Andersson's studio The Honk Palace in Stockholm, Sweden.
“The Transcendence” was later released in November 2015 through Napalm Records. A well acclaimed debut album which is strongly forged in a 70's retro sound but with a modern tough. The album includes the singles “Gotta Move”, “Bellevue Groove” and the heavy tune “Higher”, which also came out with a music video directed by Max Ljungberg.
Honeymoon Disease went full throttle and became a fast growing live act on the European stages – touring and supporting bands like Imperial State Electric, Graveyard, Brant Bjork, The Shrine, RavenEye, Avatarium, Horisont and The Vintage Caravan.
In the beginning of 2017 the band got signed on The Sign Records. The 7” single “Electric Eel” came out in May and the band started the recordings of their second album. Once again the band chose to collaborated with the producer Ola Ersfjord, who recorded the band in the studio Ganymeden in Linköping, Sweden.
“Part Human, Mostly Beast” is the title of the second album which was unleashed on the 27th of October 2017 via The Sign Records. A 12-track high voltage rock record spiced with powerful and groovy soul. The two singles “Doin' it Agan” and “Four Stroke Woman” was released in the summer 2017, as a first taste of the album that contains a rough and more lively sound that captures the band's sweaty and intense feeling on stage.
