License to Love (L2L) is an alternative epic-rock band, founded in 2008. L2L now is the union of two musicians - Konstantin Korsakov (guitar, keyboards, programming) and Sergei Khovansky (vocals). The name of the band determines the direction of philosophical lyrics of the band.
The symbol of L2L is a slightly revised Celtic symbol of supreme love. The warriers used it as a ward.
L2L name the following bands and artists that have influenced them most: 30 seconds to MARS, HIM, Depeche Mode, the Rasmus, Delerium, Motley Crue, Simon Posford, Sting, George Michael, Christian Leontiou, Mylene Farmer, Radiohead, Muse.
The first songs were written in 2008-2009 and immediately identified the idiom of L2L - beautiful catchy melodies, powerful guitar riffs, sophistication in the arrangements. In 2010 Konstantin Korsakov wrote over 30 songs, 10 of which were selected for their debut album.
The release of the self-titled debut album is planned for the spring, 2011.
In July 2010 License to Love recorded their first two singles that will also be a part of the album:
Down to Earth and Always, both produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (the producer who has worked with H.I.M., 69 eyes, Apocalyptica, Daniel Lioneye, Amorphis, Lordi and Negative to name a few)
