Hailing from the small coastal town of Belfast, Maine, Lindsey Ray (born Lindsey Bachelder) comes from a long line of musicality from both her mother and father’s sides of the family. She took on the stage name Lindsey Ray in honor of her late paternal grandfather, Raymond Bachelder.
Lindsey moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2008 and began collaborating with top songwriters, one of whom was Tim Myers, formerly of One Republic. Lindsey and Tim wrote a duet “Brand New Day” that was quickly picked up as the theme for Target’s national ad campaign and commercials, which aired from the fall of 2008 through the summer of 2009. Since then, Lindsey’s has released a 6 song EP “Picture Perfect” and her debut full length album “Goodbye From California” was released in August of 2010.
Lindsey’s songs have featured on NBC TV shows “Chuck” and “Mercy”, ABC TV shows “Castle” and “Ghost Whisperer”, Style Network, E! Channel, Lifetime’s original movie “Sorority Wars”, MTV, various commercials in Europe, and most recently Lindsey’s song “You Make Me Happy” has been picked up to power Yoplait Yogurt’s national commercials airing in the US and Canada.
