Rotted Rebirth was formed in 2005 as Eternal Execution by Alex Miller(guitar), Nick Scott(bass), Brett Cobb(Vocals) and Nolan Schockman(drums). This lineup played one local show and Nolan decided he did not want to be apart of the group anymore, so Andrew Sutton decided to fill his spot on drums. This lineup went on to play many a few gigs under the name Eternal Execution, but changed the name to Rotted Rebirth. Rotted Rebirth went on to write 10 songs before Andrew decided to leave the group to pursue other musical interests. James Ipock filled the spot on drums. A few gigs and a demo later, Brett Cobb decided to leave the band to pursue his other group, As the Light Dims. Andrew Sutton decided to come back to the group as a drummer and James Ipock moved to vocal duties. With a new inspiration for creating the most intricate and challenging brutality, Rotted Rebirth went on to write the five songs that became "The Depth of Cessation" EP. Tracked, Mixed and Mastered at Kill Co. Audio, Rotted Rebirth finally had recording they could be proud of. The Depth of Cessation was released under Bound to Dissonance, a now defunct record label ran by Andrew Sutton. The group went on to play shows all over the midwest including dates in Chicago, Louisville, Chattanooga, Evansville and others. Sometime after, James Ipock left the group, replaced by Dylan Cox. The band had a few jam sessions with the new singer, but decided shortly after to focus on their other projects. Dylan Cox and Andrew Sutton went on to form Visceral Throne and Alex Miller and Nick Scott decided to focus their efforts on their band, Aegaeon.
