Shirokuma is a four piece band from Söderhamn, Sweden who formed in 2012. Shirokuma play a tense, discordant, and at times melodic style of music that draws inspiration from a variety of sources that include post hardcore, emo, and screamo. Musically, Shirokuma can be said to be influenced by bands such as Amalthea, Raein, and Pianos Become The Teeth. Shirokuma first grabbed by attention with their self-titled EP, which the band self-released back in February of 2013. Sun Won't Set is Shirokuma's debut nine song LP, which was released via Dog Knights Productions on May 29th, 2014. On Sun Won't Set, Shirokuma offer up nine new songs of tense, discordant, melodic, and atmospheric music that will definitely appeal to fans of modern post hardcore, emo, and screamo. Overall, this album is phenomenal and definitely exceeded my expectations as far as how well executed these nine songs are. Once again, Dog Knights Productions prove to me that they're Europe's answer to Top Shelf records. Highly recommended! Enjoy
