Take the Name has finished recording their first full length album. They recorded at DeafCat Studios with Jarid Yankus, front man of Undermine the Common!
Josh, Jake, and Nate were all original members of Take the Name. Playing their first show with Kevin Kruise playing drums and, Nate's brother, Sean Johnson on rhythm guitar. After Sean left, to attend MVNU, the band decided to write their new songs as a four piece. TTN then started working on a 5 song EP. Half way through the recording process, Kevin felt God has his life going another direction, as well.
Brock James then joined the guys in May 2009. After spending time learning the songs and adding his personality to it, TTN decided they were going to retrack the drums for the recording, and add more songs to make it a full length CD. Starting the process in June, TTN recording the entire album all over again. Adding 4 songs, an intro track, an interlude, and an 8 minute instrumental to finish off the album. Playing a lot of shows during the studio time created a long process, but they are now finished with the recording and are excited for the release!
Take the Name exists to show that there is hope in Jesus Christ. They never back down from an opportunity to share that message and carry that with them on and off stage.
To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever.
