Born from the inner-Sydney suburbs in 2007, the sonic juggernaut that is VANSTORM has been described as the aural equivalent of a kung fu film in a video arcade store and are drawing attention from fans and industry representatives alike. Fusing uplifting trance and electro with the brutality of hardcore and death metal, these electro-core pioneers are building an impressive repertoire of songs that will rival the likes of Asking Alexandria, This Romantic Tragedy and the infamous Black Dahlia Murder and are leaving moshpits and dance floors broken, beaten and gasping for more.
The genre-bending style that VANSTORM has adopted can only be described as one of the most ingenious, yet technically challenging styles in heavy music today and while exceedingly popular, is sure to raise scepticism amongst more traditional metal fans due to the introduction of electronica to a metal song.
VANSTORM take pride in their visually erratic live show and are leaving audiences stunned by the aesthetics that bind together one of the most stunningly brutal live performances of any local band in recent years. These spectacular performances are guaranteed to impress even the select few that doubt the mighty outfit and are sure to launch this fellowship into super stardom amongst heavy music’s many loyal followers.
Through solidarity and hardship, VANSTORM have stood their ground and are now just discovering the fruits of what promises to be a long and prosperous career. In October, the band released to the public their first offering in the form of a demo entitled “Spring Time In Venice” and while recorded under primitive circumstances, proved that there are many good things to come.
VANSTORM’s recent success has been nothing short of spectacular. Having shared the stage with the likes of The Storm Picturesque, Azlock and Madison Foxx, the boys will soon be playing with some of Australian heavy music’s true heavyweights and eventually rise to become a dominant force in the ever-growing electro-core movement.
With every bone-crushing breakdown and soaring chorus, VANSTORM prove again and again that they possess all the necessary qualities to become not only one of the most prolific hardcore bands in Australia, but also that they truly are, in every single way, the kings of the night.
